Brafer was hired by Vega do Sul, which is part of the Arcellor Mittal metallurgical group, to provide and assemble 2,600 tons of steel structures in São Francisco do Sul, Santa Catarina State. The assembly was completed in a short time span and Brafer won a safety award for having performed the entire work without any labour accidents.

For the expansion of this project, Brafer was hired again by Vega do Sul, providing 3,100 tons of steel structures comprising six industrial sheds. The assembly took place amid the heavy rains that ravaged Santa Catarina in 2008 and, even in the midst of the adversities, Brafer was able to assemble the industrial sheds within the requested safety standards and in the shortest time possible.
