ARENA DEODORO

Brafer was contracted to detail, manufacture and assemble approximately 2,500 tons of steel for the Deodoro Complex, which included the stands for the hockey games, fencing, course for canoe slaloms, stalls for the shooting competitions and BMX ramps.

The project had its peculiarities during assembly, like the composition of the tubular latticed trusses for the stands roof, which were 70 meters long and weighed about 40 tons each, and it took two cranes of 120 tons to hoist them. They were manufactured in parts, pre-assembled and welded on site, and then hoisted.

The Deodoro Complex is also one of Brafer’s showcases for the 2016 Olympics.
