GUARULHOS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Brafer was contracted by OAS to develop, manufacture and assemble the new Guarulhos Airport International Terminal structures, a 27-thousand square meter roof mounted on concrete pillars.

In total, there were 1,800 tons of tubular steel structures. For the structures assembly, the cranes used had the capacity to hoist up to 800 tons and to work at heights of over 100 meters.

The biggest challenge of the project was to synchronize the International Terminal roof work with the other works taking place at the same time, without accessing the inside of the building and being careful with the large influx of people.

Brafer also set up the facade, the terminal and the passenger overpass roof. The deadlines were a challenge as well, as this terminal had to be ready for the 2014 World Cup.
