HISTORY

Having started its activities in 1976, Brafer began as an office for steel structure projects, this was the realization of Garofani Marino’s dream, the engineer and president of the company until the present day. The year following its foundation, Brafer had already started making its first structures.

In the beginning, just small-scale works were carried out, like industrial roofs and pavilions. Following that, larger works were contracted such as the bridge over the river Piquiri, weighing 200 tons with a span of 60 meters. Manufactured and assembled by Brafer in 1979, the project stood out because it used the most advanced technology available at the time.

In 1980, the warehouse rented by Brafer was no longer big enough to hold the factory’s stock, so the company moved to its own headquarters in Araucaria, a municipality near Curitiba. With extensive grounds and easy access to the major highways, Brafer is situated there to this day.
